Internal Information System

The objective of the Internal Information System (IIS) is to guarantee the adequate protection of informants, and to facilitate their communications by guaranteeing confidentiality and data protection.

The implementation of the IIS will be carried out after consultation with the workers' legal representation.

For this, Law 2/2023, of February 20, it contemplates a system with several elements:

  • El Title II of Law 2/2023, of February 20, establishes the different elements that the Internal Information System (IIS) must contain to guarantee the correct management of communications and, in particular, the rights of informants and affected persons (denounced). +Info, here.
  • Another of the elements is to have some Principles of IIS.
  • Likewise, it must have a procedure that guarantees safe management, confidentiality of the identity of the informant person and data protection.

  • The internal channel is the preferred channel to report infringements that affect the organization and are communicated by people related to work or professionally with that organization.
  • All subjects required by Law 2/2023, of February 20, in both the public and private sectors must have this internal channel (Articles 5 and 7).
  • Normally, the internal channel will be hosted on the organization’s website.
  • The internal information channel must guarantee confidentiality and data protection.

Internal channel of the AIPI

  • AIPI presents in this section, in compliance with Law 2/2023, of February 20, its internal channel.
  • This channel ALONE It should be used by people who have one employment or professional relationship with the AIPI (including its staff), to report infringements that have to do with the organization.

The internal channel of the AIPI does not process:

- Communications pertaining to the external channel.

- Requests for general information.

- Complaints and suggestions.

Access to the AIPI Internal Channel

  • The figure of the Head of the Internal Information System (RSII) is regulated in the Article 8 of Law 2/2023.
  • It can be a physical person or a collegiate body.
  • The main function of the RSII is to manage the internal information system through the approved procedure and ensuring compliance with the principles of the system.
  • It must carry out its functions independently and autonomously with respect to the other organs of the entity, it may not receive instructions, and it must have the necessary means to carry out its functions.
  • The appointment and termination of the RSII must be notified to the AIPI or, where appropriate, to the competent regional authority. +info, here.

 

Responsible for the Internal Information System of the AIPI.

In the case of the AIPI, the RSII is the Manager.
