Principles of the AIPI Internal Information System

The principles of the Internal Information System of the AIPI aim to contribute to the consolidation of the confidence of the potentially informative persons, since they are real and verifiable guarantees.

It allows all reporting persons to communicate information about infringements in a secure manner and with a guarantee of the confidentiality of the identity of the reporting person, as well as of any third party mentioned, both in the communication and in the subsequent proceedings. Anonymity is even guaranteed, by choice.

The protection of personal data is also ensured by preventing the access of unauthorized personnel.

It allows the presentation of the information in writing, or verbally (in this case through the web form itself), or in both ways (omnicanality) and through a secure application with restricted access that allows the presentation of communications in a simple way and that guarantees the possibility of moving an anonymous communication. The information will be provided in a clear and comprehensible manner.

In addition, the internal channel is presented in a differentiated manner from the external channel of AIPI and other information channels of other entities and bodies, both in the management procedures development documents and on the Authority ' s website.

The management and monitoring functions of the Internal Information System shall be exercised with full functional independence, without being subject to instructions in relation to specific cases and avoiding any conflict of interest situation. This independence is essential to preserve the credibility of the System and to ensure that the decisions taken are based exclusively on objective criteria and on the facts established.

The Internal Information System must have a designated manager. You must be able to perform your functions independently and autonomously, and you will not be able to receive instructions of any kind in your exercise.

The System will have an information management procedure that will operate under the principles of diligence and speed and traceability, with a commitment to monitoring, evaluation and accountability.

These principles guarantee the protection of reporting persons provided that they have acted in good faith and on a reasonable basis. It also includes the “pesronas” who have communicated anonymously but have subsequently been identified.

Respect for the rights of the persons affected is also ensured.

This principle obliges the AIPI to pay special attention to prevent situations in which the reporting person may suffer negative consequences related to the communication made. To this end, a risk analysis of retaliation will be carried out, where appropriate, and barriers will be established to prevent retaliation.
