The Independent Authority for the Protection of the Informant (AIPI) exert sanctioning power provided for in Law 2/2023, of February 20, on the protection of informants; it shares competences with the autonomous bodies and does not replace the internal disciplinary powers of the organizations.
The faculty to impose sanctions on the AIPI is the incumbent of its Presidency.
- Scope of competence of the AIPI: State public sector and, as a general rule, private sector except autonomous attribution.
