The president of the AIPI, Manuel Villoria, addressed the challenges posed by artificial intelligence for human rights and public decision-making and stressed that ethical principles should guide these systems in their conference in an academic act.

The president of the AIPI, Manuel Villoria, visits the Dominican Republic for various activities organized by the Global Institute of Higher Studies in Social Sciences, among which the central conference of the XIII Ordinary Graduation of the Institute stands out, as well as the formal opening of the cohort 2026-2028.
At the graduation ceremony, the president of the AIPI emphasized that the construction of an artificial intelligence compatible with human rights does not depend only on technical solutions or declarations of good intentions, but on the moral principles on which it is based and warned about the risks of transferring to the algorithms decisions in which there is discretionality and different ethical values conflict.
The presence of the president of the AIPI has caused interest in the Latin American country, where he has granted interviews to local media and has met with the Ambassador of Spain in Santo Domingo.
